Jarvis targets Wolves recall

Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Matt Jarvis has accepted that he needs to improve to win back his starting spot in Mick McCarthy's side.

The 23-year-old was left on the bench for the 1-1 draws with Everton and Aston Villa, although he did come on as a substitute against the Toffees.

The reason for Jarvis being axed was alack of end product according to McCarthy, with the former Gillingham midfielder telling the Express & Star:"The gaffer told me he wanted a bit more end product from me., hopefully I can deliver that in the future.

"I was gutted I wasn't playing, but I've just got to fight my way back into the team. I've got to prove myself again, work hard in training and get another chance, then hopefully I can stay in the team.

"There is a massive squad and we all want to play, but you can't always be in the team. It's good for the gaffer that he can turn around and see seven good players to bring on.

"He's got another team that's capable of playing in the Premier League, so that has to be a positive thing for the club.

"I'm always trying to improve my game by doing extra bits on the training ground, to make sure I can put good balls in."
