Moussa Dembele has rattled in 24 goals in 36 appearances for Celtic in all competitions this season, including three in six Champions League fixtures.

The 20-year-old has been an overwhelming success since joining Celtic from Fulham last summer, but it is widely thought that the Scottish champions are in for a difficult summer when it comes to fighting off interest in the Frenchman.

A number of Premier League clubs, including West Ham United, Manchester United and Chelsea, have been linked with the powerful centre-forward, although according to Sky Sports presenter Jim White, speaking to Arsenal Fan TV, thinks Arsenal would be "the perfect home for him".

He said:

“I would say yes (he is good enough). This guy knows where the goal is. A lot of people will say ‘well Jim White you’re talking about Scottish football’, sure.

"But I reckon yes, given the challenge of Premier League football if you say to Moussa Dembele can you go from there, where you are now, to here, he would love the opportunity.

“He would embrace it and say 'yes I can'. I think he would be sensational and Arsenal would be the perfect home for him. Brendan Rodgers knows there is a massive move around the corner for this lad and a massive move would be to a club the size of Arsenal.”

Celtic are believed to want upwards of £30m to allow Dembele to leave the Scottish Premiership this summer, but that figure would not be a problem for an Arsenal team that are crying out for fresh blood in the final third of the field.

Plenty of players have tried and failed to make the switch from the top flight of Scottish football to the Premier League, although Dembele seemingly has the attributes needed to form an impressive career at Arsenal, should a move to the Emirates indeed arrive.
