Jose Mourinho is to take legal action over a newspaper story in which he was quoted criticising England coach Fabio Capello.
Mourinho was reported to have blamed England's World Cup failure on players being frightened of the hardline Italian coach.
The former Chelsea and Internazionale coach also suggested Capello's "one-track relationship with players" was to blame for a series of dismal displays in South Africa.
However, Mourinho's representatives have now revealed that the Portuguese coach is to take legal action after claiming he never spoke to the newspaper in question.
"Jose Mourinho hasn't produced any statement to this newspaper and denies categorically every word published," read the statement from Gestifute.
"We hereby inform that Jose Mourinho will use all legal means against the newspaper and its author."
