Juventus have joined Manchester United in the race to sign Inter Milan star Mauro Icardi in the summer, according to reports from the Express.
The 21-year-old is being targeted by Louis van Gaal due to the current striking problems at Old Trafford.
Loan signing Radamel Falcao has struggled to replicate his previous form and with Robin Van Persie not getting any younger, United’s strike force has been very weak of late.
In addition, Van Gaal has decided to play Wayne Rooney in the centre of his midfield, meaning the club are now in desperate need of some new forwards.
However, Juventus have also been alerted by his goal scoring ability in the Serie A, with the Argentine already notching 15 so far this season.
Chelsea are also monitoring the situation of the £30million-rated striker as a possible replacement for Didier Drogba, who is likely to retire at the end of the current campaign.
Inter are already said to be in the market for a new forward to replace Icardi, as he is being tipped for a club exit when the summer transfer window opens.
