Juventus star Gianluigi Buffon has praised Manchester City’s Joe Hart ahead of their Champions League showdown tonight, according to reports from the Mirror.
The 37-year-old admitted that he has been keeping an eye on the England international over the past few seasons and now considers him as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
“I’ve been watching his game for a few years now, and Joe Hart is now for me one of the top three goalkeepers in the world,” he said.
“Since his return to the team after being dropped, you won’t think of a better goalkeeper in the world.
“It’s not just about the saves he makes, but the way he organises with such confidence. He is a real leader.”
City will host the Serie A champions as they look to end their struggles in the tournament following a number of early eliminations from the competition.
Buffon also added that his opponents are not only strong from the back, but also have a vast array of talent in other areas of the field.
They are currently full on confidence after picking up five consecutive Premier League wins and are yet to concede a single goal this term.
In addition to that, Juventus are currently going through a rough patch as they sit 16th in league after failing to win their first three matches of the campaign, losing two and drawing one.
