Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is close to agreeing a new three-year contract, according to The Sun.
The Argentinian boss has been a flaming influence over a talented Spurs squad since arriving from Southampton and has led the North London outfit to an unlikely title challenge this season.
Spurs are believed to be desperate to tie down Pochettino to improved terms, with pen set to meet paper on a new £4.5 million per year deal.
The report suggests that Chelsea are admirers of the South American and were interested in exploring the potential for the Tottenham boss to move across London.
Despite this, Pochettino looks likely to stay where he is and commit to a club in which he has a major project growing.
Spurs take on Aston Villa away from home today and know that victory at Villa Park can move them within striking distance of current league leaders Leicester City.
