Jurgen Klopp will not stand in the way of captain Jordan Henderson leaving the club this summer if Tottenham come calling, The Sun state.
The White Hart Lane side have been linked with an audacious move for the Reds skipper ahead of next season, where they look set to play Champions League football.
The England international has grown in stature since moving to Anfield from Sunderland and has become an essential member of the Liverpool team.
Despite this, the latest report suggests that Klopp is ready to allow Henderson to leave the club if he wants a change.
Liverpool held onto Luis Suarez for an extra season despite the Uruguayan stating that he wanted to leave, but the same tactic will not be put in place for Henderson.
Klopp has stated that he does not want players to remain in the squad that are unhappy and should Henderson have eyes on the exit door his wish will be granted.
“If a player, and let’s not say it’s Hendo but any player, says ‘I want to leave’, you have to start thinking,” he said.
“I don’t want a player who doesn’t want to be in the squad.”
