Klopp to launch £56m Dortmund raid

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is set to launch a raid on his former club Borussia Dortmund, with the German coach eager to bring Marco Reus and Mats Hummels to Anfield according to The Daily Star.

The new Reds boss has overseen an improvement in his side’s fortunes since replacing Brendan Rodgers in the Merseyside hot-seat, but will surely be eager to add new faces to his squad come the January transfer window.

The Liverpool fans will be hoping that Klopp’s reputation in the European game can convince a number of high-profile players to sign for the Premier League side.

Klopp had a very close relationship with his players at the Signal Iduna Park club, with the manager heaping Hummels and Reus become household global names.

The report suggests that the pair would cost Liverpool a collective £56 million, but if the double deal could be pulled off it would be a massive boost for the Merseyside club.
