Koeman eyes English star to join him at Everton

Ronald Koeman is ready to make a move for Saido Berahino and make the West Brom man his first signing when he finally takes over as manager of Everton later this summer, according to reports from the Daily Mirror.

Berahino has just one year left on his contract with the Baggies and, with Koeman likely to be handed a significant transfer budget at Goodison Park, the Dutch manager is looking to turn his admiration into a transfer with an early bid.

Crystal Palace, Watford and Leicester are also believed to be interested in the 22 year-old English forward but, with the prospect of working with Koeman, Everton might be in with a good chance of securing his signature.

Romelu Lukaku’s future continues to be in doubt and Saido Berahino will surely envisage a move to Everton as a chance to start regularly and make a name for himself at a bigger club.
