Atletico Madrid have slapped a £50million price tag on star midfielder Koke, who is a target for Chelsea, according to reports from the Mirror.
The Blues have been heavily linked with a move for the Spain international, with recent reports revealing that technical director Michael Emenalo was watching Koke during the weekend.
However, if Chelsea want to sign the 23-year-old, Atletico have demanded that the Premier League club match Koke’s £50million buy-out clause to avoid losing him cheaply.
Yet, the Blues hierarchy could significantly reduce the fee if they include Brazil left-back Filipe Luis into the deal, with the La Liga champions keen on bringing back their former player.
Luis has struggled to break into Jose Mourinho’s first-team set-up ever since his £15million move from the Vicente Calderon last summer, with Cesar Azpilicueta ahead of him in the pecking order.
Koke has played 42 games for Atletico Madrid this season, scoring four goals and supplying an incredible 17 assists.
