Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez has snapped up the Serbia international goalkeeper Vladimir Stojkovic on loan for the rest of the season.
The 26-year-old moves to the DW Stadium from Sporting Lisbon where he has been for the last two years.
He spent part of last term on loan at Spanish side Getafe and has represented his country on 29 occasions.
Martinez had been keen to bolster his goalkeeping options as second-choice shot-stopper Richard Kingson will spend most of next month representing Ghana at the African Cup of Nations.
Stojkovic played for Crvena Zvezda, Nantes and FK Zemun earlier in his career. He was a key figure as Belgrade giants Crvena won the domestic double and reached the group stage of the UEFA Cup in 2006.
