Lazio president Claudio Lotito said the club is still trying to find a new club for their Uruguayan goalkeeper Fernando Muslera.Despite reports claiming the 25-year-old had already signed a deal with Turkish club Galatasaray, Lotito said the situation was still progressing and would not rule out a swoop for Cagliari shot-stopper Federico Marchetti as a potential replacement.
“Muslera’s situation is evolving,” Lotito said. “Muslera is one of the players who decided not to agree to the offer he’s been made a year ago.”
“Based on this, the club has offered to find him a new club, taking into account the team’s needs. We’ll see how this situation evolves.”
“Marchetti is one of the players Lazio is interested in. He has the potential and skills to play a great role.”
