Lazio looking to lure Liverpool defender out of Anfield

Liverpool star Kolo Toure is being eyed by Lazio as they look to reinforce their squad following a number of injury concerns, Express reports.

The 34-year-old has been given very limited playing time as he is struggling to overtake Dejan Lovren, Martin Skrtel, and Mamadou Sakho to a centre-back role.

He could now be on his way out as the Serie A outfits look to acquire his signature during the current winter window.

The Italian club have lost both Stefan de Vrij and Santiago Gentiletti to injuries as they look to bring in Toure as a possible defensive replacement.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp could allow his exit during January given that Toure’s contract is set to expire at the end of the current campaign.

Allowing him to leave Anfield this month could see the club acquire some funds from his sale as they will not want to see the former Manchester City defender leave for free in the summer.
