The Telegraph have today reported that in-demand Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola has an eye on the Manchester United job as his next role.
The Catalan coach is widely regarded as one of the best trainers in the world game, winning 14 trophies in four years with Barcelona and back-to-back Bundesliga titles with his current employers.
However, Guardiola is in the last year of his current contract and has been stalling over a new deal, leading to reports that the manager could well be on his way out of the Allianz Arena at the end of the season.
Although the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea have also been linked with the distinguished coach, the latest report suggests that Guardiola would prefer a move to Manchester United if he is to work in England.
Current boss Louis van Gaal has a contract to take him up to the summer of 2017, where the Dutchman has stated he will retire.
