Leicester City have been dealt a blow after N’Golo Kante has been ruled out for two weeks with a hamstring injury, Skysports reports.
The 24-year-old is now expected to miss tonight’s Premier League clash with West Bromwich Albion as well as the match against Watford at the weekend.
He managed to feature for 70 minutes in the 1-0 win over Norwich City last Saturday, with Andy King being forced to replace him following the knock.
Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri has confirmed that his star midfielder will not feature in the next two matches, but is hopeful that King can work well alongside Daniel Drinkwater.
“Kante I think will lose the next two matches. I hope only two. It is a little painful in his hamstring. He has been suffering all the season and now it’s a little more charged, so we want to give him some rest,” he said.
Maybe he made some compensation. It’s extraordinary but I am very confident because we have King to play with Drinkwater, and I am very confident in him. No other injuries.”
The Italian manager is still leading on the league table as his side are two points ahead of second place Tottenham Hotspur who travels to face West Ham United tomorrow.
Kante has already featured 30 times in all competitions this term, so far scoring one goal while managing to provide another three.
