Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri has backed Tottenham Hotspur as favourites, claiming his side are fourth compared to their title chasing rivals, according to reports from the Mirror.
The Foxes are currently top of the table leading Spurs by two points, with Arsenal five points behind in third while Manchester City are occupying fourth.
But Ranieri looks as if he is trying to play some mind games by claiming his side are the fourth best team out of the lot, insisting that the other three have a lot more experience and are stronger than his side.
“I think Tottenham and then Arsenal are favourites,” said the Italian.
“Tottenham is strong in every situation, when they defend, when they attack – they know very well what they want.
“Everybody is speaking about Leicester and nobody is speaking about Tottenham.
“Tottenham in my opinion is the favourites, then Arsenal and City.
“I understand, we are the surprise and have good energy. But if we are realistic you say Leicester make a fantastic season but the real competitors are City, Arsenal and Tottenham.
“Tottenham are the best team we have faced this season.”
Leicester will look to continue their run at the top when they host West Bromwich Albion on Wednesday, but they will have a tough task without star midfielder N’Golo Kante, who picked up a hamstring injury during their 1-0 victory over Norwich.
Tottenham meanwhile have a tough London derby against West Ham United at the Boleyn Ground, with the Hammers chasing to finish in the top four this season.
