Leicester defender left fuming over transfer snub

Leicester City defender Jeffrey Schlupp has been left frustrated after the club refused to let him speak to West Bromwich Albion over a potential transfer.

Sky Sports believe that the 23-year-old was keen to discuss a £12million switch to the Hawthorns, and is angry with the Foxes for refusing to entertain a deal.

It’s now the second bid that Leicester have rejected from the Baggies, as they continue their ‘Not for Sale’ stance. The £12million switch reportedly included many clauses that the Foxes believe were unlikely to ever be activated.

The Ghanian played 24 times in the Premier League last season, helping the club lift the title in a remarkable season. However, boss Claudio Ranieri has told the 23-year-old that he isn’t guaranteed first-team football this campaign.

Sclupp wasn’t in the squad that lost to Hull City last weekend, and is considering putting in a formal transfer request to try and push through a move to Tony Pulis’ side.
