Leicester City have seen an £18 million bid for former Stoke City midfielder Steven N’Zonzi rejected by Sevilla, according to The Mirror.
The Premier League champions are preparing for life without talismanic midfielder N’golo Kante and feel that the Potters icon could well be a fitting replacement for the France international battler.
N’Zonzi was an impressive performer for Stoke over a number of years and has gone on to prosper in Spain since leaving the Britannia Stadium last summer.
However, Sevilla seem reluctant to part company with the all-action midfielder and knowing that Leicester have money burning a hole in their pocket, have turned back the Foxes’ first offer.
Claudio Ranieri’s men will feature in the Champions League next season and as such are keen to bring quality to the King Power Stadium, but should they want the former Stoke man it looks like it will take £20 million or more to land him this summer.
