Premier League champions Leicester City are ready to make a £15 million summer move for Swansea City playmaker Gylfi Sigurdsson, according to The Sun.
The Foxes have been 2015-16’s best team and have shocked the world and overcame massive odds to be crowned English champions.
With Champions League football coming for the King Power Stadium outfit next term, Claudio Ranieri’s men are expected to be busy in the transfer market in the summer.
Sigurdsson is a player well respected in England despite his time at Tottenham not working out, with the Iceland international a dead-ball expert, creative talent and goalscoring midfielder.
Adding the former Hoffenheim star to Leicester’s attack would add real guile to a side loaded with explosive pace and power, in what seems like a sensible move by Ranieri’s men.
Swansea would surely be keen to hold onto Sigurdsson, but the allure of playing in Europe’s top tournament could well turn the Scandinavian’s head.
