Edinson Cavani could be on his way to north London with the Metro reporting that Paris Saint-Germain are willing to accept Arsenal’s bid for the Urguayan international.
The striker has been linked throughout the last few months in a £50million move to the Emirates, however, the Ligue 1 outfit have always insisted he isn’t for sale.
Arsene Wenger’s side have struggled defensively this season, with a defender or two being earmarked as a priority for the Gunners, so any potential move for Cavani will surprise many. However, with Lukas Podolski and Joel Campbell linked with January moves away and Theo Walcott just returning to full fitness, the move may well make more sense than first impressions suggest.
The n0w-27-year-old has established himself as one of Europe’s finest marksmen for Palermo, Udinese and Paris Saint-Germain with 140 goals in his last 221 appearances.
