Liverpool have been alerted by speculation that Roma are considering a move to sign Paris Saint-Germain star Lucas Digne, according to reports from the Express.
The 22-year-old was believed to be closing in on a switch to Anfield as he hopes to secure a move to a club that can offer him regular football.
Digne is hoping to impress France manager Didier Deschamps ahead of Euro 2016, but has been limited to very little playing time with the Ligue 1 winners this past term.
His agent also revealed that he will be trying to push a move for his client despite PSG believed to be reluctant to let the left-back leave.
“It’s simple: there are the Euros at end of the season and Lucas will no longer waste time,” he said.
“He wants to re-join the France squad for Euro 2016. And that can only happen with game time.
“He must be able to play in a big club and, above all, to have a starting spot. Otherwise, it’s not worth leaving PSG.”
Roma were heavily linked with Barcelona star Adriano over the past few months, but is said to have now turned their attentions to the PSG full-back.
The Serie A giants are looking to continue their summer spree after recently securing a loan move for Mohamed Salah from Chelsea, with Manchester City star Edin Dzeko also set to finalize his switch to the club.
