Liverpool and Everton make pre-contract offer to sign Ligue 1 star

Liverpool and Everton have joined the race to sign Marseille star Andre Ayew, with the two clubs believed to have already made a pre-contract offer, Express reports.

The 25-year-old’s contract will expire at the end of the current campaign, which has also interested the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Newcastle United in making a move for the Ghana international.

Interest in his services was high after his performances during the World Cup in Brazil, and now it seems to have been reignited after the left-midfielder netted three goals and provided two assists for his side at the African Cup of Nations.

Queens Park Rangers were also in negotiations in regards to bringing Ayew over to England during the January window, but the French side rejected QPR’s £1.5million bid for their star player.

It is now believed that a number of clubs have sent in their pre-contracts terms, giving Ayew and his agent the opportunity to go through the offers and decide on a preferred destination.
