Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp looks to have been halted in his chase to sign Toronto FC star Sebastian Giovinco, according to reports from the Daily Star.
The 28-year-old only joined the MLS side during this year’s January window after deciding to leave Serie A giants Juventus.
Klopp is said to be keen on luring the forward back to Europe after he was appointed Reds manager as he looks to add some of his preferred players into the squad.
However, despite links of a possible move to Anfield, Giovinco has come out to reveal that he is currently happy with his new side and is not looking for exit after only recently joining his new team.
“I’m happy where I am,” he said.
“I only just changed club, so let me enjoy this adventure first.”
He was also tipped to make a switch to the Premier League before he left Juventus, but eventually moved to America where he is now one of the highest paid footballers in the league.
The Italy international has been on sensational form for his side so far, featuring in 31 league matches, scoring 22 goals while managing to register a further 12 assists.
