Liverpool have been dealt a blow in their chase for Valencia star Sofiane Feghouli after he opened talks over a potential move to Fenerbahce, AMK Spor reports.
The 26-year-old has decided not to extend his stay with the La Liga outfits and is set to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of this season.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp was keen to add the winger into his ranks during the summer, with Serie A giants Inter Milan also keeping a close eye on the player.
However, it is now believed that Fenerbahce are now favourites to sign him on a free transfer given that they have already tabled a three-year contract to lure him to Turkey.
Feghouli revealed his desire to remain with Valencia last month, but despite talks said to be ongoing, he is yet to agree any sort of extension.
He has already featured 36 times in all competitions for his side this term, so far managing to score seven goals while providing another four assists.
