Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed he is still looking to spend in the summer transfer window, talkSPORT reports.
The Reds started their post-Suarez campaign with a tense 2-1 victory over Southampton at Anfield on Sunday night, but Rodgers is still looking for more players to bolster his squad.
Albeit already spending over £100million, Liverpool are reportedly in the market for a world class striker to ease the goal-scoring burden on Daniel Sturridge.
“There is maybe an area or two we will look at, but if the right players become available then we will look to do something,” Rodgers said after the 2-1 victory.
“If not, then I’m happy with the squad of players and we’ll see that through. We’ve got another few weeks left yet, so we’ll see what’s available.”
With Liverpool also in the UEFA Champions League this season, the Northern Irish manager is keen to add some depth to his squad.
The Reds have been recently linked with a move for former Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o as well as Swansea star Wilfried Bony, who played a part in the Swan’s 2-1 win over Manchester United on Saturday.
