Liverpool boss eyeing future French star

Liverpool are interested in UEFA Under-19 European Championship winner Ludovic Blas, according to L’Equipe.

The 18-year-old defensive midfielder scored twice during the youth tournament, and was one of the star performers as France lifted the title.

Blas has only just completed his first season in top-flight football, appearing 14-times for Guingamp, netting once in the Ligue 1 season.

The Reds are expected to import in a new holding midfielder, with long serving Brazilian Lucas reportedly on the verge of leaving the club, and Joe Allen already securing his switch to Stoke City.

Boss Jurgen Klopp has been busy in the transfer window, bringing in 6 new signings, plus finally getting to see Marko Grujic up close, after he stayed at Red Star straight after signing for the Reds last winter.

But it appears the German manager isn’t finished just yet in the transfer window, as we enter the final month of possible activity.

The Reds are currently in the USA on a preseason tour, ahead of their first league fixture of the new season, travelling to Arsenal on August 14th.
