Liverpool boss hoping the pressure remains on Reds to improve next season

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has admitted to enjoying the pressure of being the boss at Anfield and wants it to continue, as reported by the club’s official site.

Rodgers has been in charge two years today on Merseyside and has seen his team evolve and improve dramatically – pushing Manchester City all the way for the Premier League title last season.

Now with Champions League football coming back to Anfield, Rodgers knows that the pressure will be on more than ever to keep their form up as well as tackling plenty more high profile games throughout the season.

“It has been amazing – I’ve loved every second of it,” Rodgers said.

“People have talked about pressure; I hope I have pressure like this for a lot of years, because it’s where you want to be, it’s the leading edge of the game.

“I’m very privileged to be at one of the leading institutions in the world, given the opportunity to take it forward with my vision of how I like football.

“It has never been a chore, I’ve just loved every minute of it because it’s what I’ve worked for. I’ve worked to deal with pressure.”
