Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has come out to clear the air on speculation that his players are beginning to turn on one another due to their huge decline in form, causing a split within the dressing room, Daily Star reports.
The Reds suffered a string of disappointing results and a 3-0 loss to Manchester United on the back of getting eliminated from the Champions League is believed to have piled up tension within the camp.
However, Rodgers revealed that his squad is still up to the challenge and with Steven Gerrard leading the way, their spirit is still high.
“Our dressing room is very strong.
“We are very fortunate to have a captain [Steven Gerrard] who is a strong leader in dressing room and it’s something very important in my time here.
“I hear one or two bits and pieces about unrest and it is totally untrue.
“These are competitive players who nearly won the league last year, so they won’t be happy with losing.”
