Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has hinted that Mario Balotelli has no future at the club after being forced to train with the kids, according to reports from the Mirror.
The 25-year-old has been linked with an exit throughout the summer after failing to impress since his £16million move from AC Milan.
Rodgers admitted that he has already spoken to a number of his fringe players over their future and is doing his job of selecting the best players for his squad.
“He clearly knows his situation and where he’s at. There’s nothing to add. All of the players understand where they’re at,“ he said.
“My job is to create the best possible environment for the team to succeed. That’s what I’ve always done. So I’m not going to speak about Mario when I can speak about another 25 players.”
Apart from him, Fabio Borini as well as Luis Enrique also recently revealed their unhappiness over their roles, but with all the summer additions, their future at Anfield is looking bleak as well.
The former Manchester City man is unlikely to register any game time due to the arrivals of Christian Benteke, Danny Ings, as well as the return of Divock Origi from a loan spell.
He made a total of 16 Premier League appearances last term, but was only able to find the net on one occasion.
