Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has told Daniel Trickett-Smith that he can leave on a free transfer during the upcoming transfer window, Daily Mail reports.
The 20-year-old completed a move to Anfield from Crewe four years ago, but has been unable to break into the first team setup.
Despite joining for £1million, the attacking midfielder is set to be released by the club as Klopp looks to offload a host of players this summer in order to make room for additional reinforcements.
The German manager was forced to use a host of academy stars when the Reds took on Exeter in the FA Cup replay due to a tight schedule, but Trickett-Smith failed to make the cut.
He was given a three-year deal back in 2013 when he was part of the team that reached the semi-final of the FA Youth Cup.
The Anfield club are set to make a host of changes in the summer as they are currently sitting ninth on the Premier League table after failing to keep up with the top four.
