Liverpool boss tipped to make January move for Borussia Dortmund star

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is believed to be preparing a January move for Borussia Dortmund star Neven Subotic, Express reports.

The 26-year-old is being tipped for an exit given his very limited playing time under current boss Thomas Tuchel, making only one league appearance from a possible 14 matches.

Klopp is said to be a huge fan of the Serbia international as he is keen to reinforce his back line ahead of the second half of the Premier League campaign.

German football expert Raphael Honigstein has tipped the centre-back to make a move to Anfield given that his role in the squad is under heavy threat.

“There is probably a deal to be made with Subotic, who has been out of favour,” he said.

“He is one of the few players who was personally picked by Klopp for Dortmund when he was at Mainz.”

The Reds have been linked with a host of Dortmund players since the arrival of former manager Klopp due to his strong relationship with the Bundesliga giants.

In addition to interest for Subotic, other superstars being linked with a switch to the Premier League side are Marco Reus, Mats Hummels, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
