Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is believed to have told the club that he is keen to sign Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, according to Sport, as reported by the Metro.
The 23-year-old was a target for the current Reds manager during his time in charge of former club Borussia Dortmund.
Despite interest from the Bundesliga giants, Ter Stegen eventually signed for the La Liga champions in May of 2014, winning the treble in his debut campaign.
However, it looks as though Klopp will be ready to reignite interest in the keeper after it is believed that he is feeling unsettled over his role at the Camp Nou.
The Germany international is often used in the Champions League, but has been limited to game time in the La Liga due to his role sharing duties with teammate Claudio Bravo.
Klopp is said to be looking for alternatives to both Simon Mignolet and summer signing Adam Bogdan, but will surely be knocked back by a move for the Barca star given his £56.7million release-clause.
