Liverpool believe that they can sign Bayern Munich star Mario Gotze for £20million this summer, according to reports from the Daily Mail.
Gotze has been heavily linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena in recent weeks, with Arsenal also keen on his services.
The Germany international was regarded as one of the best attacking midfielders after he was signed from Borussia Dortmund in 2013, and he proved his abilities on the biggest stage by scoring the winning goal in the World Cup final one year later.
However, the 23-year-old is now struggling to get game time with Bayern, only making 15 appearances for the Bundesliga champions this season.
And having worked under Reds boss Jurgen Klopp at Dortmund before, Gotze has privately revealed he would like to play for his former gaffer again.
The Bavarians value Gotze at £30million, but with only one year left on his contract, Liverpool believe they can sign him for £20million at the end of the campaign.
