Liverpool consider bringing back Belgium striker from loan spell in January

Due to Liverpool’s recent attacking form, Brendan Rodgers is believed to be considering his options to call back Divick Origi who is current on loan at Lille, Daily Star reports.

His return can be a possibility if the Belgium starlet along with his current side can work out an agreement in order to decrease his initial loan length meaning he could be at Anfield as soon as January.

The Red’s have been struggling to score goals as of late and with the injury to Daniel Sturridge, the striking reinforcements of Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert is yet to find their scoring form.

Origi stated earlier that his club have been sending scouts to keep an eye of his display in the Ligue 1 and that he is always in contact with Liverpool.

“The Liverpool manager regularly sends me a text message. They follow me and scouts attend all my games.

“Rodgers wanted to add me to his squad immediately, but Lille wanted me to stay for one more season. I had no choice.

“It’s not that I don’t want to go to Liverpool, I have ambitions.

“But it’s an advantage I’m at Lille for a season where I can continue to develop and play a lot. That’s the positive side of the story.”
