Manchester City could lose James Milner for free if he decides not to extend his current contract as it is set to expire at the end of the month with Liverpool and Arsenal keen on his signature, Daily Mail reports.
The 29-year-old is considering an exit because he is said to be unhappy over the amount of playing time he is being given and unless Manuel Pellegrini can promise a bigger role, he is unlikely to sign a new deal.
However, the earlier injuries to Edin Dzeko, Sergio Aguero, and Stevan Jovetic had opened up room for Milner to be deployed as a striker with the England international known for his ability to play anywhere in the attacking third.
Both the Reds, along with the Gunners, are very interested in bringing the midfielder over to their clubs because his additional will not affect their quota of registering foreign players into the squad.
There have been no revelations regarding the future of the player, but many speculate that Pellegrini is already closing in on a new deal for the attacker in bids to confirm his Etihad stay.
