Liverpool consider move for another new defender

Liverpool are considering a move for FC Porto defender Bruno Martins Indi, according to the Mirror.

The Reds conceded 3 goals to Arsenal on the weekend, although they still managed to come away from the Emirates with the win. And despite adding Joel Matip and Ragnar Klaven to his squad, Jurgen Klopp is reportedly keen on strengthening his defence further.

Martins Indi can play at both centre-back and left-back, with many fans calling for Alberto Moreno to be replaced after a string of costly mistakes in high profile games. He was criticised heavily in both the victory over Arsenal and the defeat in the UEFA Europa League final last season.

The 24-year-old currently has two years left on his Porto contract, but wasn’t included in the Portuguese side’s squad that faced AS Roma on Wednesday night in their UEFA Champions League qualifier.

The defender has featured over 30 times for the Dutch senior national team, and has scored twice. But he wasn’t able to help them qualify for Euro 2016.
