Liverpool consider move for Chilean ace

Liverpool are keen on signing experienced Chile international Gary Medel, according to the Chilean media outlet AS.

The former Cardiff City midfielder, currently at Inter Milan, looks set for a departure this summer, with Klopp apparently keen on his services, with Liverpool lacking in the department of true defensive midfielders.

There have been doubts over the future of Lucas at Anfield, despite the 29-year-old making 27 league appearances for the Reds last season.

And after impressing for Chile at the Copa America this summer, it seems the German manager could bring Medel to the club, joining Sadio Mane, Joel Matip and Loris Karius as new recruits ahead of the upcoming season. Georginio Wijnaldum has also been heavily linked with a move to the club.

Model played 30 times in Serie A last season, scoring the 1 goal, as Inter Milan finished 4th, qualifying for the UEFA Europa League.

Liverpool don’t have any European football next season, after losing the final of the competition to Sevilla in May.
