Liverpool are considering a move for Arsenal ace Wojciech Szczesny to replace Simon Mignolet this summer, according to reports from Football Insider.
Szczesny was loaned out to Serie A giants Roma following the arrival of Petr Cech from Chelsea, but the Poland international has impressed at the Stadio Olimpico.
However, the 25-year-old shot stopper is expected to return to the Emirates at the end of the season with two years remaining on his Gunners contract.
Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is eyeing a new goalkeeper this summer, despite Liverpool number one Simon Mignolet signing a new deal earlier in the campaign.
And Sczesny is being considered as a replacement for Mignolet, whose inconsistent performances have been heavily criticized by fans and critics.
Meanwhile, Arsenal’s Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain is also a target for Liverpool, with the Englishman struggling for playing time in their crowded midfield.
This means the Reds could eye a double deal for the out-of-favour duo, which is estimated to cost a total of £40million.
