Liverpool have been dealt yet another injury blow as Divock Origi was forced to undergo surgery late last week, Express reports.
The 20-year-old underwent his operation back in Belgium before returning on crutches as he is now ruled out for about four weeks.
He picked up a hamstring injury during the 1-0 Premier League victory over Leicester City back on Boxing Day.
The injury to the striker will add more pressure onto manager Jurgen Klopp given that he is without a number of senior players in all areas of the pitch.
Apart from Origi, the Reds are still without defenders Dejan Lovren, Mamadou Sakho, Martin Skrtel, and Joe Gomez.
Midfielders Jordan Ibe, Philippe Coutinho, Jordan Henderson, Jordan Rossiter, along with forwards Danny Ings and Daniel Sturridge are all still carrying a knock.
Klopp with be hoping a majority of his injured stars make a comeback when his side face league leaders Arsenal tomorrow.
