Liverpool dealt blow as PSG winger set to snub exit

Liverpool have been dealt a huge blow in their chase to sign Paris Saint-Germain star Lucas Moura after he revealed his future plans, according to Canal.

The 23-year-old was believed to be interested in a transfer elsewhere amid speculation that he was considering his future at the Parc des Princes.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is said to have sent scouts to monitor his displays when his side took on Chelsea in the Champions League last-16.

However, Lucas has recently come out to deny reports that he was set for an exit, highlighting the fact that he hopes to win more trophies before returning to Sao Paulo.

“My dream is to continue my career here, win a lot of titles and then return to Sao Paulo,” he said.

“That’s my goal.”

The winger has already won the Ligue 1 title with PSG this season and was also a transfer target for Manchester United.

The Brazil international has so far featured 44 times in all competitions for his side his term, managing to score 10 goals while providing another 5 assists.
