Liverpool have begun talks over a move to sign Manchester United target Memphis Depay from PSV Eindhoven, according to reports from the Metro.
The 21-year-old was heavily linked with a move to the Premier League ever since the previous summer, with Tottenham Hotspur also declaring interest in his services.
Dutch newspaper De Telegraf claimed that both the Reds, along with French side Paris Saint-Germain, are currently in negotiations with PSV over a potential move for the winger.
Depay has been tipped to complete a move to Old Trafford in order to be reunited with former Netherlands manager Louis van Gaal.
It is believed that the pair shares a close relationship, a factor that has helped the Red Devils remain in pole position for the signature of the Dutch star.
He is said to be worth around the £24million region, and was even close to joining Spurs in the summer before Van Gaal advised him to wait for an offer from United.
