Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is being urged by the fans to bring back Mario Balotelli from his AC Milan loan spell after their latest injury crisis, according to reports from the Express.
The 25-year-old made a move to the club from Milan last summer in a deal worth £16million, but was loaned back to the Serie A after a string of disappointing performances.
In addition to his poor form, the arrival of Christian Benteke and Danny Ings during the summer window along with the return of Daniel Sturridge pushed the striker further down the Anfield pecking order.
However, with Benteke currently unavailable through injury and Ings out for the remainder of the campaign after rupturing his knee ligaments, Klopp may need to reconsider Balotelli’s loan.
The former Borussia Dortmund boss will also be without Roberto Firmino for his debut game against Tottenham Hotspur as Sturridge and Divock Origi are his only available strikers.
Apart from the injury blow to his front line, defensive star Joe Gomez is also expected to be sidelined for up to nine months after suffering a ligament tear as well.
