Liverpool flop Mario Balotelli is looking to earn himself a permanent deal with AC Milan after failing to impress at Anfield, Goal.com reports.
The 25-year-old completed his move to the club back in 2014, but was eventually sent back on loan a year later after losing his first team place.
Despite making a move back to Italy, Balotelli has been unable to play on a consistent basis given that he has been sidelined with an injury.
However, Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has hinted that the striker could join on a permanent deal if he managed to prove his worth before the summer window.
“Mario is feeling well,” he said.
“He is desperate to stay here at Milan.
“But like I have said before, he does not merit a permanent deal at the moment.
“We really like Mario, but he has to convince us to earn a permanent deal.”
He is currently tied down on a contract with the Reds until June 2018, but it is believed that manager Jurgen Klopp is yet to decide on the player’s future.
The forward already has featured 17 times in all competitions for his side this term, so far managing to score three goals in the process.
