Liverpool given green light to bring in Mignolet replacement

Liverpool are looking to bring in AC Milan stopper Diego Lopez in January and have been given the go ahead by the Italian giants, reports Calciomercato.

The report suggests that AC Milan are willing to cash in on their ‘keeper as they look to raise funds for a move for Zenit star, Axel Witsel.

Simon Mignolet has already made several howlers this season and it is thought that Klopp will look to replace the Belgian goalkeeper in the upcoming January transfer window.

Liverpool’s defence continues to be an issue for them throughout this season and Mignolet is hardly inspiring any confidence amongst the rest of the back line. If Liverpool are going to challenge for Champions League football, it is a necessity that they sign a new goalkeeper in the January window or the summer.

With an injury to Martin Skrtel, the Reds are currently playing Dejan Lovren and Sakho as their main centre-backs.
