Liverpool given massive injury boost ahead of Manchester United clash

Liverpool have been given a massive boost ahead of their crunch match against Manchester United this Saturday, with star striker Daniel Sturridge returning to full training after the international break, Daily Mail reports.

Sturridge underwent hip surgery back in May and spent much of his time in the United States to recover from the problem, only just returning to Melwood last month.

And it looks like he is on his way to full fitness, with the England international finally back at training and could even make a shock cameo against the Red Devils this weekend.

The 26-year-old has not played competitive football since featuring for the Reds in their FA Cup win over Blackburn Rovers back in April, and Liverpool will likely not rush his return to the squad until he is completely recovered.

However, things are looking much rosier now than two weeks ago when they succumbed to a 3-0 loss to West Ham United at Anfield.
