Liverpool will try and sign Chelsea’s Petr Cech when the summer transfer window opens up, that is according to reports in the Daily Mail.
Brendan Rodgers’ current No.1 of choice is Simon Mignolet, however, the former Swansea City gaffer dropped the ‘keeper for a period earlier in the season after a few high profile errors. The former Sunderland goalkeeper did return between the sticks, although perhaps sooner than Rodgers would’ve liked due to an injury to Liverpool’s No.2 Brad Jones.
Cech is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, with Jose Mourinho going for youth over experience in making Thibaut Courtois his No.1.
The Czech Republic international has been linked with Real Madrid, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain, too, but it remains to be seen where the Chelsea stalwart will end up.
Cech joined Chelsea in 2004 from French side Rennes and has gone on to win every single trophy during his time with the West London club.
