Liverpool have been dealt an injury blow as Christian Benteke may be unavailable for the match against Manchester United in two weeks time, according to reports from the Daily Star.
The 24-year-old picked up a thigh strain in the 3-0 defeat at the hands of West Ham United and has now been ruled out of international duty with the Belgium national team.
He will now miss the fixture against Bosnia and is still a doubt for the following game against Cyprus, with manager Marc Wilmots not willing to risk him.
Based on his recovery in the next few days, he may also be unavailable for the upcoming match against United on September 12.
However, based on the results of his scans, he is expected to return to action in time for the clash as the knock has been deemed minor.
Benteke has already featured four times since his arrival from Aston Villa this summer, scoring one goal so far this term.
