Liverpool are considering a move for Villarreal star Luciano Vietto, who is being considering the ‘new Sergio Aguero’, Express reports.
Vietto has been a long-term target for the Reds, and after a decent first half of the season in the Spanish La Liga, the youngster could be set to depart sooner rather than later.
Liverpool purchased Mario Balotelli for £16million from AC Milan in the summer, but the striker has found it difficult to adapt to manager Brendan Rodgers’s playing style.
The Italian has only scored two goals for the Reds, with both not even in the Premier League.
And although Rodgers has claimed that the enigmatic Balotelli won’t be leaving the club in January, they are still interested in signing Vietto.
The Argentine has been valued at around £12million by the Yellow Submarines, with the like of Real Madrid and Inter Milan also keen for his services.
Vietto has scored 12 goals in 23 games for Villarreal this season.
