Liverpool keeping tabs on Milan ace

Liverpool are keeping tabs on Italy and AC Milan forward Antonio Cassano, according to Metro.

Cassano only moved to Milan just over 6 months ago and has made 18 appearances for the club since his complicated move from Sampdoria. But, he is behind the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Alexandre Pato, Robinho and Filippo Inzaghi at the pecking order and could move to guarantee regular football.

The temperamental forward started his career at Bari before a big-money move to Roma aged only 19. He won the La Liga title during 18 months at Real Madrid between January 2006 and August 2007 but spectacularly fell out with then-coach Fabio Capello and returned to Italy with Sampdoria. After another high-profile falling out with Sampdoria he moved to AC Milan winning the Scudetto last season. After success in Italy and Spain it seems the forward is keen to ply his trade in the Premier League.

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish is keen to add to his attacking options and has money to spend following the clubs takeover by the Fenway Sports Group at the end of last year. A fee is yet to be discussed for the 28-year old as Liverpool look to add to their attacking options and push for a return to Champions League football.
