Liverpool are currently leading the race to sign unhappy Schalke star Sead Kolasinac ahead of the new campaign, according to the Express.
The 22-year-old is also being targeted by Premier League rivals Chelsea, with manager Jurgen Klopp looking to provide Alberto Moreno with more competition at left-back.
Moreno has come under recent criticism; with former Reds forward John Aldridge hitting out at his lack of defensive awareness at times.
German newspaper Bild has claimed that Klopp is now ready to sign Kolasinac following reports that he is unhappy at the Bundesliga club and is keen on a summer switch.
It is said that the left-back is struggling to hold down a regular role, and with his contract running out in 2017, a move could be beneficial to both parties.
He has only started 13 Bundesliga matches this term, featuring another five times from the bench, so far managing to register one goal in the process.
